In New York State these credentials enable me to practice as an independent provider within the scope of psychiatry. I have a collaborating agreement with a local Psychiatrist and am qualified to write prescriptions for psychotropic medications when indicated.

​​​Psychopharmacology involves a comprehensive evaluation which focuses on symptoms of distress including depression, anxiety, lack of concentration, or mood instability and how these symptoms relate to a larger diagnosis such as Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, or Bipolar Disorder.

​Pharmacological recommendations are based on the best evidence to date, as well as individual needs. Decisions to trial medications are made jointly with great consideration placed on patient preference, cultural beliefs, and specific diagnosis.
